Longbow provides web design in Matlock, Derbyshire and all around the UK. Our mission is to produce websites that are attractive and visually engaging, as well as functional. We can help with the whole process of creating a site – including copywriting, sourcing images and producing graphics that make your site unique. We also work hard behind the scenes to ensure that sites are search engine and mobile friendly.
There are no monthly contracts, although we do recommend that after we’ve launched your site, we undertake regular maintenance to ensure that it stays secure and up to date.

Website copywriting
In many case clients supply the text for their websites but not everyone is a wordsmith, and some people simply don’t have time to create text content. If so, Longbow can help. We can create copy from scratch, or if you have text, but it needs a little polish, we are happy to do that.
Foreign language? No Problem.
We are happy to work with foreign languages, using either translated text supplied by you or text from translation services that we work with.
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
We always aim to make search engine friendly sites, and will make sure that the key SEO boxes are ticked when we set up your site. For more in-depth SEO, we work with specialists who can analyse and advise on improvements to get your site found.
We can also monitor SEO performance, and adjust, as part of an ongoing maintenance programme.
Website maintenance
Our service does not end when we upload the live site. You will doubtless want to change and add content and it is wise to do this regularly, as a content-rich site with regular updates scores points with search engines. You will also want to know how your site is performing, and we can provide statistics about visits to your site. Different clients have different requirements for maintenance, and we tailor our service accordingly.

In the fast-moving world of software development there are regular updates to the programmes that run a website. These updates not only keep the software functions current but are also important for the security of the website.
Performance statistics
This is information is vital for understanding the performance of the site and making adjustments to the SEO and site content. As part of building your website Longbow will install performance tracking software, which analyses, among other things, visitor numbers and other data related to ensuring your website is always fully search engine optimised. It is important that this is done regularly and we can provide this information as part of a maintenance agreement, or you can choose to do it yourself if you prefer.

Web hosting and domain names
We offer web hosting as part of our web design service in Matlock, but we are happy to work with any hosting service that you might prefer.
We can help with the technicalities of buying domain names, or perhaps you have a domain name already but would like to explore additional alternatives. Our own domain, longbow.design, was made possible by some recent radical changes to the domain name system, so be creative – it doesn’t always have to be .co.uk or .com.
